Gable End Render – Mutley Plain

project description

Problem

The existing render on the gable end had significantly deteriorated, showing signs of cracking and general wear. It was no longer offering effective protection against the weather, leaving the underlying structure exposed to the elements. A full removal and reinstatement were required to restore both the appearance and performance of the exterior.

Solution

Done Right began by carefully removing all existing render to expose the original substrate, allowing for a proper assessment and preparation of the surface. A traditional three-coat sand and cement render system was applied, incorporating a scratch coat, float coat, and finishing coat to ensure strength and longevity. The surface was expertly levelled, finished smooth, and decorated to match the rest of the property.

Outcome

Done Right delivered a high-quality result, completing the gable end with a clean, uniform finish that blends seamlessly with the surrounding elevations. The freshly painted sand and cement render not only enhances the visual appeal of the property but also provides lasting weather protection and structural resilience.
